Mosh BMX was the BMX division of Giant Manufacturing Co. Ltd created in 1996 with the help of Linn Kastan and AA Pro racer Jason Richardson. In 2002 Giant signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Satellite (a company that then managed the former GT Air Show) to begin manufacturing Giant branded bikes to boost the Giant label. These bikes were priced between $150 to $350, filling in the open entry level price gap that their Mosh labeled high-end bikes could not. Giant made bikes using the Mosh name until 2003 when it switched to labeling all high end stunt specific parts as Mosh parts. The parts were sold separately as well as on Giant labeled BMX bikes.

Mosh Parts and the Mosh Team ATE were managed independently from Giant Bikes. The team was mostly changed in 2003 when the company decided to reposition in this market. For 2008, with Mike Ardelean who quit for United Bike, a major part of the team changed again. There is still a bike made today that carries the name of an original Mosh in Giant's line up, the Method, though it is set up for dirt/trail and not race/dirt as was the original.

Mosh has had a few logos over the years. They started with a simple lower case M in Ghost Gothic font which usually had an inverted kite around it. The newer style is a different type of font with nothing around it. The last logo had four letter Ms placed to form a square and looked somewhat like a star.

Mosh played a big role in the BMX industry by changing some standards and by choosing riders not only for their ability but for their unique style, which forced some other companies follow this path to make the sport as it exists today.
